MEGA is a recovery facility located at # 1 Warren Munroe Road, Cunupia, Trinidad W.I. Our team is backed with over 30 years of experience in the recycling industry, with our focus being on the recovery of paper, cardboard, expired lead acid batteries, old electric motors and aluminium regionally from landfills, households and businesses for recycling.
At this time most material is dropped off at our facility in Cunupia. While we do provide a free collection service on a case by case basis this would need to be confirmed with your representative. These materials are sorted into different grades and compacted into single units called “bales”. These bales are then sent to different mills depending on the grade they contain.
Provided with a free collection service, these batteries are brought to our compound, where we then sort and pack these batteries on pallets, shrink wrap, weigh and record these pallets, after which they are loaded onto 20ft containers for export to EMA certified lead smelters globally (See packaging process below). The primary export of these smelters is refined lead and other materials recovered in the process of recycling industrial and consumer lead acid batteries.
